Hualink offering 2 watts millimeter waves fixed attenuators with 2.92mm and 2.4 mm interface that operate to 50GHz which is highly reliable, cost effective and short delivery time. This type attenuator is bidirectional. There are used to reduce or step down the power level of a signal while maintaining the waveforms integrity.

FAQ

1. Hualink's 2.4mm Series connectors

2.4 mm series connectors have a working frequency up to 50 GHz and adopt a reliable threaded connection method. They are used in more stringent millimeter wave fields such as communications, precision testing, automobiles, satellites, radar, and radio astronomy. The dielectric adopts the air. The thread adopts metric spe M7×0.75 to avoid mismatching with SMA, 3.5 mm, 2.92 mm, SMK, K and other connectors. In order to protect the jack from damage, the outer conductor has been matched to more than 50% before the pin contacting the socket. The interface is compatible with 1.85 mm, V series connectors.

Due to the reliable structure, smaller size, excellent electrical performance, higher alignment, robustness and repeatability, the 2.4 series have pushed the development of millimeter wave connectors to a new level.


2. Can damage occur to high power attenuators if connected incorrectly?

Some of the high power attenuators from Hualink have an input and output connector. They are labeled as "unidirectional" (one way) attenuators. If they are connected incorrectly (high power applied to the output of the attenuator), the attenuator may be damaged. If the attenuator specification states the attenuator is "bidirectional" then one may connect either the input or output connectors of the attenuator to the device under test.
