1. Introduction

Hualink high-performance edge mount solderless connectors are designed to provide low VSWR, mode free broadband response to 50GHz for single-layer and multi-layer printed circuit boards where the high frequency signal is on the top layer. The stainless steel material design ensures the durability of the product. Robust, reusable, and repairable. Soldering is optional.

6. FAQ

1). The Benefits of 2.4 mm connector

Outer conductors engage and align before the center contacts engage preventing damage to the center contact

Plug coupling nut extends beyond the male center contact, protecting the contact while not mated

Fixed bead-contact assembly prevents transmission of mating torques to circuit elements

Interface dimensions minimize distortion and deterioration of the mating surfaces


2). Can 50 ohm N type connectors mate with 75 ohm type connectors?

The answer is no. The N type 75 ohm center pin and socket is smaller than the N type 50 ohm center pin and socket. You can connect the two together, but you will damage the 75 ohm female with a 50 ohm male or there may be no contact if using a 75 ohm male with a 50 ohm female.


3). How to distinguish Standard and Reverse Polarity Connectors?

What are Reverse Polarity (RP) Coaxial Connectors? What are the differences between the standard parts?

The following are the standard SMA Female and Male interface. Female connectors with the female body, outside thread, and center socket. And Male connectors have the male body, inside thread, and center pin.

While the Reverse Polarity Male and Female connectors consist of the standard body but reverse the gender of the center contact. In other words, the female body together with the center pin & the male body along with the center socket. An example below(RP-SMA and standard SMA female connectors).

Reverse polarity does not refer to the signal polarity but rather to the gender of the center contact. The gender of those connectors is according to the gender of the body. So Reverse polarity connectors should be mated with Reverse polarity connectors.
