As a basic component of microwave interconnection and transmission, the radio frequency connector has a history of 85 years since the appearance of the UHF connector model in 1930; and the BNC that appeared in the Second World War in 1939, Connector models such as N and TNC have a history of 76 years; connector models such as SMA, SMB, and SMC that have appeared successively in 1958 also have a history of 57 years; in 1964, the MIL-C-39012 radio frequency connector standard specification was released. A milestone in the historical development of the radio frequency connector industry, it has also gone through 51 years. Nowadays, we look at the entire radio frequency connector model spectrum and there are about 60 model series, and its products are countless.
With the rapid development of the mobile communication industry, new connection and installation types such as miniaturization, fast insertion, blind mating, and surface mounting of RF connectors have continued to appear, and the electrical performance and environmental resistance of their RF connectors have also been continuously improved. However, only in terms of the evolution of the above-mentioned connection form, we will find a phenomenon after investigation: the evolution of its connection form often does not take into account the historical models, but starts anew. If things go on for a long time, it will inevitably bring many obstacles to the development of the radio frequency connector industry. First, the connector pairs in the original equipment system need to be updated in a complete set; second, the existing plug connectors cannot be docked with their sockets; third, the materials for product manufacturers, equipment manufacturers and operators have also doubled; fourth, product design Standardization and the standardization of manufacturing processes have brought obstacles; fifth, product management has increased trouble, and its errors have increased with historical development.
