Description

Introduction

Hualink 2.92 mm female vertical through hole PCB connector has a 50 ohms impedance and provides a minimum frequency of DC and a maximum frequency of 40 GHz. This K connector has a brass body with gold plating and has a Beryllium Copper contact pin. The 2.92 mm Female has outer thread design with 1/4-36 UNS-2A to provide very stable connection. K Jack PCB RF connector can solder feet and center contact by wave solder or reflow solder way. This 2.92 mm Female was designed with very small size (small Inner Diameter of Body & small contact pin) to provide possible good impedance matching at the joint of PCB & Connectors. If need, Hualink can also provide simulation service with PCB. 2.92 mm series provide mm wave signal, which is widely applied to Ka wave band.

FAQ

1. What is a Connector?

A connector is a device used to connect to cables or other devices through which electromagnetic energy is transferred from one place to another.

■ Creates many impedance variations or discontinuities in a very short distance

■ Reflections are important, Attenuation not as important

2. What do connectors connect?

a) One side is typically a standard interface that mates to another interface

b) The other side typically connects to a transmission line like a cable or PCB

c) Adapters connect one interface to another

3. Hualink 2.92mm/ K Connectors

The 2.92 mm series are similar in structure to the 3.5 mm series. They also adopt the reliable method of threaded connection, but with smaller size and the operating frequency can reach up to 40 GHz. It is widely used in communications, precision testing, automobiles, satellites, and radars, radio astronomy and other millimeter wave fields. The dielectric adopts the air. With reliable structure, small size, high precision and wear resistance, the 2.92mm series interface is compatible with SMA, 3.5 mm series connectors.
